I had been writing about the experience of being immersed in the community in Mauritius, which was a new cultural paradigm for me. In this project, I recount conversations and observations. I use my camera to visualize my experience. I collected objects and made images with them as well, cataloging my time. This series is my captain’s log of the long voyage, to bring others on the expedition.

In this project I combined these texts and images into postcards, which were sent to the gallery to be exhibited.

These images and text were combined into a book entitled Mo Moris/My Mauritius.
